Wife stabs husband in Brookfield, WI

Brookfield – A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was stabbed in the chest early today by his wife at a Brookfield drinking party, police say.Theman was unconscious when police arrived about 1:30 a.m. at the house inthe 16800 block of W. Dane Court. Several people were intoxicated andcongregating on the home’s porch and inside, a Brookfield Policestatement said.

Brookfield Fire Department paramedicstransferred the man to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital inWauwatosa, according to the statement. The wound was not consideredlife-threatening, police said.

The man’s wife, also 24, wasarrested. Police also arrested a 20-year-old Muskego woman who foughtwith the suspect just prior to the stabbing. Police said they arrestedher after finding her drunk and passed out in a bedroom in the house.
